NEWMANDIY / PRIVACY

Privacy
Policy.

A clear explanation of what we collect, why we use it, and how we handle a project inquiry.

Last updated: August 24, 2026

At a glance

NewManDIY is a product-content and video-production studio based in British Columbia, Canada. This policy applies to information handled through newmandiy.com.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to provide when you contact us through Start a Project, including your name, email address, company or brand, product or website, requested service, project details, and timeline.

The form also uses limited technical and security information to protect the service from oversized requests, automated submissions, rapid duplicate submissions, and abusive traffic. This can include request headers, an approximate client identifier, form timing, and rate-limit records.

How we use information

We use inquiry information to review and respond to project requests, communicate about a potential engagement, operate and secure the website, prevent abuse, maintain internal records, and meet applicable legal or accounting obligations where required.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use inquiry details for unrelated advertising or automated profiling.

Inquiry handling and communication

After an inquiry is successfully saved, the details are available to the NewManDIY team for review. The email address you provide is used to send a confirmation and to reply about your request. A project inquiry is not a public post and is not displayed as portfolio content without a separate, appropriate agreement.

Email notifications

We use the site’s configured SMTP email transport to send an internal notification and a confirmation email to the address submitted with the inquiry. Email delivery is separate from database persistence: an email delivery problem does not undo a successfully saved inquiry.

Do not include passwords, payment details, or information that you are not authorized to share in the inquiry form.

Service providers and infrastructure

The website uses hosting infrastructure, a managed MariaDB-compatible database for application records, an SMTP relay configured by the operator for inquiry notifications, and Better Auth for the protected admin sign-in flow. These providers or infrastructure operators may process information only as needed to provide, secure, or maintain the service.

The public site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate website usage and successful project-inquiry conversions. We do not send inquiry names, email addresses, company or contact details, project messages, or brief text to Google Analytics.

Data retention

Inquiry records and related security records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to manage inquiries, maintain business records, protect the service, resolve disputes, and meet applicable obligations. We do not claim a fixed deletion period where the current system does not establish one.

Data security

We use access controls, authenticated admin routes, secure production cookies, rate limiting, server-side validation, and protected database and email configuration as part of the current application. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please share only information necessary for your request.

Cookies and essential technologies

The public site uses Google Analytics 4, which may use analytics cookies or similar technologies to measure aggregate usage and successful inquiry conversions. The protected admin area uses essential session and access-control cookies so authorized administrators can sign in and remain authenticated. The admin gate cookie is limited to admin routes and is configured as HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Strict in the application.

External links

The site may link to external destinations such as YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, or a client or brand website. Those destinations have their own privacy practices and are not controlled by NewManDIY. Review their policies before submitting information there.

Children’s privacy

This website and its inquiry process are intended for businesses, brands, and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us so we can review the request.

Your privacy requests

You may contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, ask a question about its use, or request deletion where appropriate and legally available. We may need to verify your request and may retain information when required for security, legal, or business-record purposes.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the website, business practices, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. Continued use of the site after an update means the revised policy applies from its posted date.
